Aborigianl torres straist islanders are recognized as the first peoples recognising the importance of valueing maintaining their culture acknowledging both cultures can work together Their relation to land and water and kinship

Acknowledge relationdhip to the land and waters care takers of the land they belong to the land acknowledge the unique their status long herritage kinship and acknowledge Aboriginal people can live in both culture's

Acknowlege those prevented from openly practicing culture and speaking language should not be excluded recognised as Aboriginal eg men wear white shirts black tie to funerals as they were not permitted to paint their bodies

More needs to be done to support Aboriginal people from the cycle of poverty more needs to be done to support them to be proud of whom they are and their culture Need to stop the dominant culture controlling their lives and setting them up to fail.
