Do you support recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by changing the Constitution or making some other kind of legal change?
Yes
What should the change look like?
Get State laws changed so that they are recognised more factually in National Law-This could be done now. Make a true general statement that indicates all of the humans already here, something like-'they were here, followed by the King's officers who obey
Should we have a statement that acknowledges the First Peoples of Australia?
Yes. This should be in the Constitution.
Where is the best place to put it?
towards the beginning
What should the statement say?
Somehow indicate that the 'land was not empty of humans' when the first officers arrived..to take the land for the King. There was an assumption that those here first would not resist, in fact could not resist ,as they had the weapons to be successful-gun
Do you have any other comments on a statement about the First Peoples of Australia?
laws applied geographically,or according to skin colour,or dress code, cannot be just-someone will be discriminated against-it is inevitable.
Should the word 'race' be taken out of the Constitution?
Yes
Should the Australian Parliament keep the power to make special laws for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples?
No
Do you have any other comments on powers to make laws for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples?
Ideally, all the population should be treated under the same Law.Otherwise we will have some to be under 'traditional Aboriginal law',some under Sharia law, some under state law etc. This may seem to be impossible-but-it would make Justice more evenly disp

Should the guarantee protect all Australians against racial discrimination, or only Indigenous Australians?
All Australians
If there is not enough support for a guarantee in the Constitution, what other things can we do to stop racial discrimination in national laws?
List other ways that people can not be discrimated against eg-in print media,in electronic media,in published media , in print media being specific ,
Do you have any other comments on changing the Constitution to stop racial discrimination?
Peoples' heart attitudes cannot be changed by law-but hopefully such changes will come eventually. Some people seem to have a 'need' to differentiate between themselves and any 'other' person-a natural reaction to 'difference' which onlt shows their own in
Do you think Indigenous people should have a say when Parliament and government make laws and policies about Indigenous affairs?
Yes
Do you have any other comments on this Indigenous group?
I am working with some Indigenous people-we might need to go to the tribal allegiances to get some agreement-But that would be practically impossible to do.The people we white fellas think are easy to interact with are not the ones that Aborigines general
Should we delete section 25?
Yes
What would we achieve by getting rid of section 25?
a mature nation needs to be Fair and seen to be fair in how it judges the people.
Do you have any other comments?
My concern is that we have ceased to be able to DISCERN about issues-we cannot discuss issues peacefully without bullying each other. Our Parliamentarians don't set that example to each other. And Aborigines don't trust one another either! We MUST allow e
