What is your postal code?
Do you support recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by changing the Constitution or making some other kind of legal change?
Should we have a statement that acknowledges the First Peoples of Australia?
Do you have any other comments on a statement about the First Peoples of Australia?
"Acknowledge" is only very superficial. You regard white people as "we" and "indigenous peoples' as Other - so you want to put some pompous phrases ...to what purpose? It would be truly inclusive to scrap your racist Constitution written by old white me
Should the word 'race' be taken out of the Constitution?
I don't know
Should the Australian Parliament keep the power to make special laws for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples?
Do you have any other comments on powers to make laws for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples?
Absolutely not. This is the height of paternalism and paternalism has not worked. Why Aussies are too stuck up to consult with these friendly and intelligent people i do not know. Making plans for people you dont know - like selling them into slavery an
Do you think that a guarantee against racial discrimination should go into the Constitution?
Do you have any ideas about what words to use for that guarantee, or where in the Constitution to put it?
Its a great idea but racusm is so ingrained in White Australians - its hard to find one at all that doesnt earnestly believe he is vastly superior to indigenous people. ...and women, for that matter. And you want to think you are 'civilised ' do you!!!
Should the guarantee protect all Australians against racial discrimination, or only Indigenous Australians?
All Australians
If there is not enough support for a guarantee in the Constitution, what other things can we do to stop racial discrimination in national laws?
You cannot legislate foe everything. Have you considered the idea of education? Or is that a commodiry for the rich?
Do you have any other comments on changing the Constitution to stop racial discrimination?
You cannot stop Aussies being racist. Its part of their "culture". You can try your usual authoritarian - but - "A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still" The current mode of thought is "We are not allowed to say things like that (
Do you think Indigenous people should have a say when Parliament and government make laws and policies about Indigenous affairs?
Should a new Indigenous group be set up under the Constitution to give advice and make sure Indigenous people have a voice in political decisions that affect them?
Is it worth creating the new group if it can only give advice and does not have the power to block new laws?
Do you have any ideas about what the new group would look like?
Yhe idea of consulting people and asking them to choose their own leaders is called "Democracy": Are you aware that Australia is rumoured to be a democracy? You have to ask if people should even be cionsulted - thay should make their own decisions
Do you have any other comments on this Indigenous group?
Indigenous leaders would be elected by indigenous people ( like they do in democracy) not chosen by white men with corporate interests and investments.White men in cities are almost completely ignorant of indigenous culture and customs
Should we delete section 25?
What would we achieve by getting rid of section 25?
Is "civilisation" anything Australians aspire to? Do tell me why you need the power to "make special laws" for one race??
Is there any point in keeping it?
You tell me - i'm not Australian. Well you needed it after the Lambing Flat Riots ..when the Aussies wanted to beat up the Chinese
Do you have any other comments?
I hope you can understand the idea of democracy which allows people to make their own decisions - and the dignity that brings. Another idea tried overseas - in Europe and America is a "treaty" A "treaty" is a meeting of two peoples on an equal footing.
Are you making a submission on behalf of a person (such as yourself) or organisation?
