First People's should have automatic rights in parliament to represent the best interests of the first people as well as the land. They should not be discriminated against.
Should we have a statement that acknowledges the First Peoples of Australia?
Yes. This should be in the Constitution.

They should be able to make their own laws but these should not be made for them without their consultation.

I would imagine a council of various people who each bring their knowledge and experience for collective decision making. They would have the power to have referendums within the indigenous communities in the country for important issues.
Do you have any other comments on this Indigenous group?
I grew up in NZ and despite having various tribes the NZ govt has found a way to have the Maori people fairly represented in Parliament. I also feel that as original custodians of the land Indigenous people would have a better respect for the environment
